Ruth Whitley, LPC-S, BC-TMH
I feel that the ability to counsel others is a God-given skill and that oftentimes you fall into it quite naturally. I have always been told by peers that I was easy to talk to and they often came to me with their problems. I enjoy helping others better themselves by developing healthy attitudes and perceptions. I also enjoy watching their progress as they grow and are able to work through their problems. I feel it is necessary to allow the person to feel hope about their situation and know that they do not have to struggle by themselves. (Romans 12:13).
